Renowned horse trainer, Bill Lawrence, knows his business and how to captivate an audience.

The gifted and experienced horseman did just that when he recently presented the keynote address at the annual conference of the National Animal Supplement Council held in Valley Center, California.

Lawrence, who has worked for more than 20 years in the movie industry training liberty horses and other animals for major motion pictures such as, “John Carter,” “Evan Almighty,” “The Young Black Stallion,” and “The Legend of Zorro,” was selected as one of the lead trainers in Stephen Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film, “War Horse,” training liberty horses alongside actors, including Jeremy Irvine.

“He shared some unbelievable stories about his career working with these movie horses, relating the months of non-stop training required for these film animals,” said conference attendee and CherryFlex president, Bob Underwood.  “Bill was also one of the most approachable and nicest guys I have had the pleasure of meeting.”

Out-going NASC president, Bill Bookout, agreed saying Lawrence shared behind-the-scenes stories that were intriguing and captivating.  The accomplished trainer told a deeper story of the companion animals that his organization’s members are so passionate about.

NASC is the nonprofit industry trade association that works on behalf of concerned and committed providers of animal health supplements, supply chain partners and government officials to protect and enhance the integrity of animal health products.
